I know a few reviews stated it didn''t fit perfectly to their door''s dimensions but even if the door can be cracked open an inch or two... that doesn''t take away from the fact that the door won''t budge from that point. Mine fit in perfectly, I had to fix the screw into a different hole but it fits snug and the sliding glass door doesn''t even move if this is put in place properly. I also like the fact that it looks nice and is easy to get out from the door. In fact it is the prettiest sliding door stop I have ever owned. However...the way it is adjustable is that there are a series of holes on the upper side of the outside panel that a screw can insert through to the single hole in the inner panel. You slide the panels on each other to expand the length and then insert the screw and align to the closest inner panel hole to secure. This means that the entire strength of this device rests on the strength of one small screw in the middle of the device. There isn’t even a second hole on the inner panel so that there is greater stability.
My husband plans to fix it by drilling a couple of additional holes and adding additional screws so we will keep it.
