Add a good quality pigeon grit and some chopped greens and you have a good diet. You do not have to give all of the extra seed mentioned here on one day.

I''ve been feeding my fantail pigeon this stuff for years now and he still dives into his dish when I refill it. Many reviewers ask what the large balls are. They''re peas and my pigeons look for those first. They would be a bit large for the smaller doves to swallow, but the bigger birds just snatch them up - if they know what they are. My fantail wouldn''t touch them at first until his partner snapped up his discards and showed him they were good. I never find a pea on the floor of their cages. Millet, sure, there''s always millet. And as for cost? Buy the individual seeds and mix your own blend. You''ll appreciate the great price on this 5 pound bag after doing that for a while.

I recommend this for pet pigeons and doves. Kaytee packages this for pets, but it''s great for your wild "pets" too.
