The turkey and chicken both have a very low sulphur and ash and being a wet food he gets all the water he needs in his diet. We bought a much more expensive brand of wet food initially, but realized that fish and red meat foods have very high mineral content which lead to crystals in the cats urinary tract and lead me to $500-$800 in surgery to keep the cat alive. Since it is impossible to find dead animal in a can with no additives, this is the next best thing.
