I have 5 rats and usually have to buy two bags of Oxbow Adult Rat food once a month. I decided to try this product because compared to the three pound bag it is almost half the price per pound. It is a wonderful value. The pellets are the same shape as in the three pound bag, but ever so slightly thinner. My rats don''t seem to mind this slight difference though, and I haven''t noticed them going through their food any faster or slower than normal.

Shipping was fast, only three days for me. The product was shipped from Nevada though and only had to come the relatively short distance to my California home. But I didn''t have any problems with it ending up in the wrong state.

WHY I CHOSE OXBOW: I honestly continue to purchase Oxbow Adult Rat food because my fur babies love it, and I know it''s good for them. All of my rats, past and current, refuse to eat any other pellet style food and will even go so far as to hide it wherever they can to make it appear as if they really are eating it (think of children and vegetables). I stopped buying mixed foods/non pellet foods because my rats would pick out the one or two things that they liked and ignore the rest, so I was afraid that they weren''t getting a balanced diet. I have never had a rat turn their nose up at Oxbow.
