Their foot prints are too big and blocked both sockets.

The Eufy as promised (see photos--Eufy on left, APrince on right) truly used just one outlet and leave the other outlet usable.

Other than that all these LED night lights do what they supposed to do: only turn on when it is dark.

The marriage of LED and light sensor is a mature technology. An inexpensive product (less than $3 each) that costs pennies to operate per year. Save bumping in the dark hurting yourself by protruding furniture or looking for light switch. Together with LED and motion sensor lights placing in strategic locations I blanket my home with these gadgets.

The only slight drawback on the design of Eufy (see brochure from manufacturer) one must use the upper socket (on a dual sockets outlet) for the LED to shine downward. If plugging into the lower socket the LED light itself is glaring because it points up.. For a sideway socket it''s not as bad but still kind of odd. So the BEST position is as instructed on their pamphlet, using top socket.

See more We already had some battery-operated motion-sensing night lights that we like, but we also wanted some that were not battery dependent. These fit the bill perfectly! We use them in a few hallways and also as secondary night lights in our kids'' rooms.

Here is what I like about these lights:

1) They are small and unobtrusive. I didn''t want a light that stuck out like a sore thumb in the daytime. These are neutral colored, so we don''t really notice them during the day (though we do have lightly colored walls).

2) They put out the perfect amount of light for a night light: enough to illuminate the floor for about 5-10 feet while not illuminating the whole room. I would NOT try to use these for reading, shaving, etc.

3) This particular model produces a warm light (i.e. more yellow than blue), which is what most people prefer for residential night lights.

4) They use a miniscule amount of energy. Negligible, really.

5) They are light-detecting but not motion-detecting. In other words, if the ambient area is dark enough, the lights will turn on -- they are not motion activated. This isn''t "good" or "bad," it just depends on the application. For a night light in our kids'' rooms, we wanted something that would be on all the time when the room is dark.

The only real "drawback" to these lights is that their placement is limited to spots where you have an electrical outlet, but that should be obvious! It''s the price you pay for not having to worry about replacing batteries in them. Even though I had originally posted a 4 star review, a CSR from Eufy contacted me regarding my one small issue with the product. Turns out if outlet space is at a premium Eufy has another product, a battery operated version of this light with a motion sensor and light sensor Eufy Lumi Stick-On Night Light, Warm White LED, Motion Sensor, Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen, Hallway, Stairs, Energy Efficient, Compact, 3-pack .

In addition to telling me about the other product the CSR listened to my feedback and sent me a sample of the battery operated unit to make sure all my needs were met. This is customer service at its finest.

See more We had put off getting a night light since having our little one, but once he started taking matters into his own hands for using the facilities we realized that it was time. We had previously spent a little bit of time searching for and looking at different night lights but we weren''t quite sold on them. In hopes of being able to prevent the things that go bump at night, we decided to do some more searching and came across this set of eufy Lumi Plug-In Night Lights.

The night lights are relatively small, less than 2 1/2" square and just over an inch from the outlet, due to the curve on the front. They are able to turn themselves on automatically and adjust to the amount of nearby ambient light; they become fully lit when no light is detected. We currently only have one night light plugged into the bathroom wall and the amount of ambient light emitted is enough to see things in the main room from at least twenty feet away in all directions. It''s basically a pretty bright light, for the size. These eufy Lumi night lights have a main sensor on the front, but are also able to detect light from where the light is located too, giving them the ability to better detect the amount of surrounding light. They are able to be plugged into the wall and just left there 24/7, without the need for interacting with them to make them turn on or off.

I was really torn between a 4 and 5 star rating for these night lights. We would''ve liked them to be about 60% the brightness of these lights, they are pretty bright, or maybe had a translucent plastic cover over the light source, which could be removed to allow their current 100% brightness level. I would''ve also preferred that once they come on that they are on, not a variable brightness due to the amount of ambient light. The issue that I have with them adjusting the light generated is they can really drop in brightness as my hands pass in front of it, reflecting its own light back at it, when I interact with the towel to the left of it. Maybe a switch on the back that could give people the ability to change between the night light auto-adjusting the amount of light emitted or a steady light source once on? We did discuss the night light a few days after having them and agreed that we would''ve spent 50% more to have had these features included. Since we knew what we were buying we gave it the 5 star rating, but I think these additions and/or changes would''ve definitely helped, with our family at least.

If you''re in the market for a low profile relatively bright night light that allows you access to the other outlet, then these eufy Lumi night lights are definitely a good buy.
