Out on the trail it helps to saw wooden branches in my way and what you need to light that camp fire. Have not tried the other blades but am sure they work well. I ESPECIALLY liked the safety features on the product. The locking mechanism works, just keep you hand off of the green button. For me the product is EXCELLENT! 35 people found this helpful Helpful Report Jon Hathaway5.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase Mossy Oak is good stuff Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2018 This is my third piece of Mossy Oak brand gear, and so far I have been very pleased overall. The pouch: nice heavy cordura, two spots for the extra blades, well sewn, and looks to last. Two methods of carry. A belt loop and a snap strap for Molle web.
The saw: Three blades; wood, pvc, and bone. All three are quick change/,removable for cleaning. Thumb button for positive lock close of open straight. Does not lock in angled position, although pressure on the blade seems to be sufficient.
I have been using this little saw for a couple weeks for pruning, harvesting fatwood, and processing small campfire wood. Works quite well.
Also have Mossy Oak multitool, and camp and small machete. All year came quite sharp out of the box and holds an edge well. We will see how it holds up at the end of camping season.

See more The black blade for cutting down brush works. I used it to take out some shrubs around 3 inch diameter without too much hassle. The small tooth metal cutting blade is not so great. tried using this to remove galvanized steel clothes line and barely got through a quarter of the 8-12 gauge steel wire after 2+ minutes. Borrowed a neighbors hacksaw and went through the wire in 2 cuts. 3.5 stars would be more accurate, but that isn''t an option. 11 people found this helpful Helpful Report Gabriel Torreblanca5.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase My new favorite tool. See more I received my Mossy Oak right on time, and I do not kid when I say it''s very suitable for an extensive measure of work. Right out of the box it was cozied in the nifty pouch, along with all three blades held in the small inner pockets. Theres no fraying from blade extraction between replacements, the black pruning blade comes installed, just be sure to tighten the locking screw (right side) before putting into action.
The blade is a quick little bugger, and so watching the depth of the cut to tip of the saw blade ratio is extremely useful when working quickly. Having averted injury from use of this tool, attention is key.
I haven''t tried the other two blades as of yet, this will be updated when such task is done.
The blade is at very minor risk of bending as well, a very easy fix and it it kept right on plugging away. This will also help you make kindling from a tree stump in no time, it creates fine cuts with precision.
I''m very happy with this device, level 5 anti cut gloves were ordered for use with this, should make it easier to use more quickly. I will be purchasing more as gifts for friends.

See more Very nice cutting tool that folds up into a fairly compact package that can be stored on your belt if your hands are full of firewood or what have you. My only gripe with the tool is that the fold lock release is right where your thumb naturally lies. So when trying to get leverage cutting a large branch, your thumb instinctively compresses the release and causes it to fold. You quickly learn to adjust your grip so that doesn’t happen so it’s no big deal, but a potential improvement for the next generation tool. I haven''t used the one that''s rated for metal or pvc cutting. The black one seems to do the best for my bush-crafting adventure. I''ve cut an 8 inch tree (very dry) with this saw for fire wood, It took a bit of work for sure but I got the job done. The blade is a little thin and you have to watch that. I never had a problem with it coming unlocked like a few other reviewers have but I''m sure that all has to do with the way you hold the saw. The saw seems to be most at home with stick from 2 to 3 inches. It comes with a nice case and feels well made, I would buy this saw again and would recommend it to any one looking for a good saw, on a budget. 62 people found this helpful Report DENNIS ALTUG5.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase Cuts through bone perfectly Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 26, 2019 I buy tomahawk steaks with the long bone attached to them which I use to make bone broth with them, and I need to cut the bone in two pieces to make it fit in my large stockpot, it cut through the bone perfectly and easy using the metal, bone saw, this is much much cheaper...See moreI buy tomahawk steaks with the long bone attached to them which I use to make bone broth with them, and I need to cut the bone in two pieces to make it fit in my large stockpot, it cut through the bone perfectly and easy using the metal, bone saw, this is much much cheaper than the conventional bone saws out there and a reasonable cheap price to get the job done, good quality and perfect for cutting bones for bone broth 14 people found this helpful Report MJ5.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase Sharp and efficient Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 3, 2021 This is a great little pruning saw. I used it the next day, very easy to switch blades. The handle locks in place so that the blade remains rigid for use, but a simple click on the top of the handle allows user to return the blade to safety mode storage of blade into handle. The pouch supplied holds the 2 other blades separate from each other, and away from the 3rd blade which is still in place in the handle. The rear of the pouch has a belt loop for use if required. 14 people found this helpful Report See all reviews Brief content visible, double tap to read full content.Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.
