See more This works as advertised but it needs to be at least a foot if not 2 feet longer. Plantronics states their charging base needs to be a minimum of 6" away from the phone and that''s about how far away you can place the charging base with this unit. The problem is you may not want the charging base in a 6-12" distance from your desk phone because of the other equipment on your desk but you have no choice. For the cost of this the very least Plantronics could have done was make the cord longer.

When I called Plantronics to resolve the below noted problem the tech said best results would be achieved if the charging base was 3 feet away from the phone & computer (I also have the charging base connected to my computer to use Lync). It didn''t occur to me until after I hung up that was not possible because of the cord length.

Also, on my new Polycom desk phone the default setting was not set for the Plantronics Electronic Hookswitch (there are 3 or 4 other headset manufacturers in the settings) and initially I was losing calls after a few minutes.
